9/10 Gorgeous characters!! My favorite movie is "Meitantei Konan" series!! One of the best is "The Phantom of Baker Street" . It is a story of a detective boy. His name is Konan who is . He challenges to play a invented game which Children can only play. It is a sensory simulation game. Konan and 49 children play the game and go to stage of London in 100 years back. They meet Sherlock Holmes and fight with Jack the lipper who is a murderer. And in a real world, case of murder happens and is related to the truth of the game. Konan and other children try to solve a mystery in is a suspense and heart- stopping story. I love the story because I like Sherlock Holmes too. In this story, Konan co-stars with Holmes. So you can enjoy the movie more, if you read "Sherlock Holmes" . And London in 19 century is described very close. They are very cool. But the mystery of an incident in this movie is the easiest of the all series. So we can notice who is the murderer!! It is only unlucky things. But this movie is very exciting!! Warning Spoilers This is my first time to ever watch a Detective Conan movie and I have to say, it was really enjoyable to watch! I loved how they were journeying through 1800s London and finding Jack The Ripper. Although Jack The Ripper seemed to be like he was from a 80s group like Culture Club, so this definately wasn't a "normal" Jack The Ripper inspired film haha! I really liked Jimmy, some say he loves himself but he really is one of the likeable smartest characters ive ever come across in the anime world! No wonder Rachel is being swept off her feet by him, like he does have that charm that anyone would be attracted by! I was surprised that Alison Viktorin QT in Space Dandy voiced Jimmy, like she was utterly incredible to play as a child voice!Very good movie if you're into the series or even like the Jack The Ripper case if you've never heard of Dectective Conan before! Phantom of Baker Street is the first film in the series written by Hisashi Nozawa. This was the last of the Detective Conan films done in traditional animation. It was released on February 16, 2010 in America on DVD. This movie brought billion yen in the box office. The story features several characters from and references to the Sherlock Holmes series, which Detective Conan is heavily inspired by, and Jack the the film, cases happen in the world of a game and real. The characters and audiences should solve two cases. When I watch the film, I am excited because I don't expect what happen next and what Conan does to solve cases. One of the highlight of the film is the ties that bind Conan's father and Conan together. I also want you to pay attention to the bonds of friendship. 4 out of 5 found this helpful. It combined the interesting elements such as history and surprises that everyone will find out Phantom of Baker st. Develops around the solution of the most famous serial-rape killer, jack the ripper. The name Jack the Ripper alone is interesting plus combined with the all-time favorite Conan = One Heck Of An Entertaining Anime...Over-all, The scene sequences will surprise you to the end, you should watch it from the first to the end because if you don't and maybe consider the film boring in the first half, you will miss the twist and find yourself wasted. Somehow its still very enjoyable even though the climax is not that great and plot wise could be better, there are a few plot holes that can't be covered till the end. I also like how international the BO is, it does give the BO more deapth as being sot after by many agincies, however the amount of spies withing the Bo who even left the Bo is quite worry some as how can many aginacies enter the Bo that easily, but I do see how the Bo was able to take care of it with going to three coutries and killing the spies, was a nice scene. Over all, I like everything about the movie, loved watching it Raw, Korean Dub and Japanese with english subtitles. Actually, I had completely forgotten about it up until recently since it takes so long from the time of release to someone being able to sub it. Let's jump right in. Story The movie opens up with action and a chase scene, as some data has been stolen from some unknown location. Considering that we see the Akai and Rei/Amuro chasing the criminal merely referred to as "that woman" for the time being, it isn't hard to deduce where the data came from. The chase ends in a monumental car crash, and though everyone appears to have survived it, the unknown criminal wound up missing. About a day later, Conan and his friends are headed to the aquarium, where they come across a woman with two different eye colors who also has amnesia. In the meantime, the Black Organization is making their move to get closer to the mysterious woman. Characters I'm going to gloss over this section instead of going into detail, since listing some characters will give it away. I will, however, say that Akai and Amuro make an appearance, as well as certain members of the Black Organization. The Detective Boys/Shounen Tantei actually play a large role in the story and have a huge influence on things without knowing it, though Ran and Kogoro only make cameo appearances in the movie. Animation/Sound Now, I don't know if it was the version I was watching, or my speakers are on their way out, but the sound in the beginning with the Shounen Tantei sounded a little strange. This movie also did the typical "fairly quiet when people are talking, but loud as heck during action scenes" move, so I bumped down the sound rating for that. An issue I had with the animation, and it could have just been the quality I watched it in, was that during the climax and high action scenes when there was a lot of dust being kicked up, it was difficult to see what was happening on the screen. Overall After the last couple Conan movies, this one was a breath of fresh air. It has a similar tension to movie 13 The Raven Chaser, but multiplied. The mystery woman in the story is probably one of the most complicated characters, and I couldn't help but become attached to her. The ending, on the other hand, was probably one of the most bittersweet endings I've ever seen in a Detective Conan movie. For the first time I can remember, after watching the movies since I managed to find the first couple which had been out at the time, I wasn't cheering at the end. Rather, I was both relieved and saddened. I won't say more than that because I worry about spoilers, but though there was thankfully a moment or two of Conan's insane bravery in the climax, the movie took an interesting turn after that which quickly had me retracting my cheering. To be honest, this is probably one of the better Conan movies since they began to decline at around movie 14 or 15 with perhaps one exception. It had moments where I held my breath, moments where I cheered, and moments which had me on the edge of my seat. Unlike some of the earlier movies, there was no real "mystery" element. The audience could figure out what was going on pretty easily from the get-go, and all of the major players were introduced in the movie quite quickly. The only mystery was related to the introduced woman, and honestly I don't think it was fully explained properly I had to go and look it up to make sure I understood it correctly. Putting that aside, there was still plenty of intrigue to hold my attention, and I'm sure the attention of many others. If I have to nitpick, there are a couple moments near the end with Ran and Sonoko which I honestly think were completely unnecessary. During that time, there was a race against the clock situation and the movie was just about in the midst of the climax...and then the animators decided "hey, let's put in the obligatory phone call from Ran to Shinichi, have Ran realize, as usual, that Shinichi is nearby, and have Sonoko goad her into trying to find him". It completely ruined the atmosphere and the mood of the scenes, and by this time it's been so overdone that it was just groan-inducing. Same song and dance with that; we get enough of that in the series itself, and then the movies started to have that as a common thing for some reason. Again, I'm docking points from what otherwise would have been one of the best Conan movies I've seen since 14 and 15 because of that completely unnecessary scene...and the timing in which it was done. If it was done earlier, then I would have been annoyed at it being in there since it didn't mesh at all with the plot or make even one lick of difference in said plot or tension, but at least it wouldn't have interrupted the building climax. We were beyond the rising action at that point and into the climax of the movie; that's not an appropriate time for the Ran/Shinichi phone call shenanigans. Thefilm renders Singapore in such loving detail that you can tell how much passion the animators had for Singapore, as even the quirkiest and most colourful parts of this island nation make their appearance in their film. Like most mystery films, Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire starts with a murder in Singapore. But when the title Home Movie Reviews A milestone entry for the franchise, Case Closed The Darkest Nightmare paints Conan's core villains an even deeper shade of black. Case Closed The Darkest Nightmare is a landmark entry in one of Japan's favorite detective franchises - the 20th Detective Conan film. First released in 2016, the movie was an instant box office hit and until the next film in the series came along Case Closed The Crimson Love Letter it was the highest-grossing in its history. After four years of waiting, the film is finally available now across various digital platforms with an English dub courtesy of Bang Zoom! Entertainment. Knowing that the pint-sized sleuth's oldest adversary, the Black Organization, are involved - their third appearance in the feature-length spinoffs - explains some of The Darkest Nightmare's appeal; however, even viewers who might not have any context for the nefarious group's history with Conan can still get a kick out of its espionage hijinks. Like other Detective Conan films, The Darkest Nightmare begins with a cold open before reminding viewers of Conan's backstory and detailing some of the story's principal players, and it's by far one of the series' best. The high-speed chase followed by a shoot-out on a bridge is ripped right out of a stellar Jame Bond setpiece, culminating in a piercing scream from the mysterious woman involved as she rescues herself from a would-be watery grave. It's a fantastic hook, right off the bat. This woman, known as Curaçao, bumps into Conan, the famed boy detective, his less-able kiddy crew, the Detective Boys, and Ai Haibara, another shrinking victim like Conan, at the floating fairground she washed up in the next day. With no memories and only a pair of "odd eyes" and a strange, multi-colored collection of slides to identify her, Conan and the group vow to help her regain her identity. Conan swiftly ropes in his close friend and love interest, Ran Mori, her hapless father, Kogoro Mori of the Tokyo police, and Dr. Agasa - one of the few people who knows Conan's true identity - to assist on the case. Little does he know that Curaçao has direct ties to the Black Organization, the criminal group responsible for turning him into the child-like form he's stuck in. What follows is something of a Girl Born Yesterday story mashed-up with a typical spy thriller. While this isn't particularly original, where The Darkest Nightmare excels is by not being afraid to lean into both these elements as much as possible Curaçao is suitably mysterious as a deadly but beautiful woman who, through amnesia, regains some lost humanity - if only briefly. The thriller aspect, meanwhile, delivers in spades from half-hidden figures meeting in empty warehouses to a particularly well-animated fight between competing agents on top of a Ferris wheel; both of whom naturally set aside their differences and work with Conan to stop the real bad guys. The animation, produced by TMS/V1, is excellent throughout, in fact, with gorgeous attention to detail paid to the film's color palette in particular - a significant feature of the plot. As its title demands of it, The Darkest Nightmare also delivers on coloring the Black Organization in the deepest shade of evil that a family-oriented feature could allow. Come the finale, the carnage is almost too grand to be taken entirely seriously. Then again, we are dealing with a world in which people can be shrunk by poison, and "Vodka" is a totally serious codename. Where the film falls down, unfortunately, is through some of its vocal performances. Though the English dub cast mostly does an impeccable job, the voices for the trio of Detective Boys do get grating quite quickly. Voicing children is always a tricky task without casting actual children for the roles, and while it doesn't spoil the movie, some adult viewers might be glad when the third act rolls around and the kids are largely relegated to being silent hostages. Full of thrills and unexpectedly dark turns, though it's one of the latest in a long line of Detective Conan movies, Case Closed The Darkest Nightmare is a great litmus test for anyone looking to make an inroad into the franchise. Like a breath of fresh air I had read about "Detective Conan" about a year prior to the show being released in the United States, and so when "Case Closed" began airing in May of 2004 I jumped at the opportunity to see this show. I was not show is a welcome relief from the Scooby-Doo inspired cartoons not to mention Scooby-Doo itself that presented a "mystery" that a tree slug could solve in two minutes. The stories are well thought out, the solutions are NOT obvious but can be put together by an observant and thinking viewer, just as Conan does, and best of all the series does not insult the intelligence of its viewers the show is entertaining without padding 3/4 or the episode with slapstick routines and mindless running from a person in a Halloween show's premise is that little six-year-old Conan Edogawa is actually a 16-year-old detective prodigy. He was reduced to a grade school child when a mysterious would-be assassin gave him an experimental poison that unknown to the poisoner regressed the detective rather than killing him. In a bit of angst reminiscent of the early adventures of "Spider-Man", Conan makes a hard discovery You can have the most brilliant detective mind in the world, but if you're six years old, all the police are going to tell you is, "BEAT IT, KID!" In spite of this hardship, little Conan finds ways of bringing the guilty parties to justice - although all too often, someone else takes the credit for his recommended. 42 out of 42 found this helpful. Yes, that's how it is, some mysterious formula has turned him into a kid. And as he tries to find a way to get back, he still continue to solve murders with the help of Edogawa, and his friend Ran and her lousy detective father. The kid still has got all the knowledge and skill he's got from his older self, but he can manage. And his gadgets are cool, he can alter his voice, mostly making it that detective Mouri guy, with whom he makes the hero of every story and episode, for shame! But still you know it's him and he doesn't seem to complain that Detective Mouri gets all the credit, or that he's still a kid. This is one of the best anime shows I've seen, and I still love it. Permalink 10/10 Longest and best anime in existence. Shinichi KudoJimmy Kudo is highly famous for being the best teen detective of East Japan. His knowledge on mystery novels & soccer skills has made him a modern Sherlock Holmes. And has helped out the police on the toughest cases. Life was going smooth with Shinichi. On one night however, he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Where 2 men in black clothes were about to get their cover blown by Shinichi. One of them knocked him out cold and forced a poison pill that was meant to end his life. However instead of killing him. It made him shrink from a teen to a have the brains of a sleuth, but no longer in the full grown body of Japan's favorite teen detective. Shinichi had to go under the alias of Conan Edogawa. A combination of 2 of his favorite mystery novelists. And can't reveal his real identity, as it'll endanger the people he knows and will get chased by the 2 men in black who'll come to finish the job. Shinichi now lives with his friend RanRachel who is the daughter of third rate detective Kogoru MohriRichard Moore. Pretending to be a smart ordinary kid, Conan uses the gadgets provided by his Mad next door scientist, Dr. Asawa. To help him solve the crimes and help Kogoru out without being noticed. Conan hopes to make Kogoru famous so that way he can get some leads and info on the 2 men responsible for his the series progresses, Conan does what he can to become Shinichi Kudo again. And will encounter many cases on Homocide, Suicide, Robbery, Child abduction, salvage, & terrorism. Once he does find the 2 men in black, Conan will try to obtain the pill that changed him and get Dr. Asawa to make an antidote to make him Shinichi more than a decade this anime has been widely successful in Japan. And an international hit in many countries. I never heard of it till 2005. And very surprised to learn how long this series is. With almost 500 episodes, several movies, and a handful of OVAs. Detective ConanCase Closed should deserve to be a highly acclaim cartoon in any category for is very few American Anime fans, don't know how great it is or don't know it's existence. Broadcasting in he as Case Closed, Detective Conan is an interesting mystery/comedy/thriller that looks like a kiddie show but definitely ia much more to the series. Plot a teenage detective protoge is turned into a kid by a weird poison and must help solve cases for his girlfriend's bumbling father under a alias until he can find the people who did this to him and recover an antidote. The premise, like I said, sounds kiddie but as the series rolls on things start to get messy and at times, a bit disturbing, but the cases are so ingenously planned out and executed you can't help but watch just to see how Jimmy/Conan will get the jobs done with such a small guise working against him. The animation is pretty good, bright and colorful though dated eight years old now but has its own style of anime. The dub isn't bad either, once again Funimation ,the folks doing the recording down here, have hired some excellent voice talent that matches each characters personalty very well though some tend to overact the junior agency for example. Overall a great series that blends comedy and mystery very well. The only gripe being its very long over 100 episodes but still fun to watch. Give it a watch if you need a break from all the action animes or just a fan of Japanese cartoons in general. Permalink 10/10 Worldwide very popular; and here is why This is probably THE most popular Manga-Anime on earth, not only Anime-Fans like it, but others as well. Why? Because even though it is not always a very credible or spectacular series, the detective series and the overall realism of the series make this Anime so comfy to watch, everybody just has to love it!!! For instance, there is no character with blue or green hear and unlike other series, the characters to not yell all the time in an annoying, exaggerated big pro of the series are the usually very cool and clever plots, sometimes an episode gives you all the hints you need yourself to figure out who the culprit is. Mostly though, an episode does not, or sometimes it's luck which leads Conan to solving a case. Nevertheless, the series is gripping, gives you false leads, is funny and the English subtitles with references and explanations to Japanese culture are series earns at least a 9/10. Personally, I gave it a 10, but what I don't like is that throughout the 506 episodes, the real core story about Shinichi and the Black Gang is rarely progressed. 36 out of 38 found this helpful. The series revolves around a teenage detective whiz who is shrunken down to the size of a child by an experimental poison. He must then masquerade as an eight year old going to school, etc. while keeping his identity a secret and a look out for the villains that gave him the poison. Helping him is a funny inventor who gives "Conan" an alias the character uses as a child cool James Bond like gadgets, like a bow tie with a voice distorter and shoes that magnify kicking mysteries Conan solves each episode are very brain teasing, but nothing impossible if you put your brain cells together and follow the clues. Though many of the cases involve murder and some pretty elaborate ones at that each episode is presented in a way for people of all ages, much like how I used to watch Murder, She Wrote as a kid. Permalink One of the greatest anime shows ever If you are a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work, this show is a MUST-SEE for you. The show revolves around a young boy by the name of Conan Edogawa. However, this is just the alias of 17-year-old Jimmy Kudo, Japan's most famous young detective prodigy. While witnessing a mob hit, he is knocked unconscious and given an experimental poison that, unbeknownst to his assailants, reverts him to the physical size and age of a second-grader. This is a purely fun show to about a high-school kid named Jimmy Kudo who is a mystery solving prodigy. He lives alone while his parents are away because his mom is an actress while his dad is a famous book writer. He solves cases every now and then for the chief of police Inspector Maguire. One night when he was out with his best friend Rachael Moore there was a murder. Solving it easily he noticed that two of the suspects were in a hurry to get out of there. So then he followed them, then one of the agents knocked him out and gave him an experimental poison but, instead of killing him something really unexpected happens. He is turned back into a seven-year old little boy. By getting help from his next door neighbor Doctor Agasa who is also a crazy scientist he learns that to keep him and everyone else he cares about safe he must keep his identity secret even from his own friends and family or else if the agents find he's still alive then they'll come back to finish the job. So he goes to live with his friend Rachael under the name Conan Edogawa. It also turns out that her father is a detective but not a good one. So with the inventions that Doctor Agasa creates for him he helps Richard Moore Rachael's dad solve cases and becomes famous while he's back in elementary school. So now he's waiting for the organization to re-appear so he can get the poison they used on him and create an antidote and turn himself back to normal thats why he's staying with Rachael and her dad in the first place, Richards a detective so he's hoping that somewhere along the line he'll run into them again.I know that some of this stuff sounds a little kiddie but it is a great balance between both. It is funny, full of mystery, while some episodes has action and adventure. A must-see series for any anime and/or mystery fan. Permalink Great Series, Good Dub, So-so translation job. This is a great series. Anyone who loves mysteries should see this series, subbed or dubbed. As a mystery fan, Detective Conan is truly great. As an anime fan, however, the dub leaves a bit to be desired. The voices are strong and they play their parts well this does put it above other dub jobs I've seen, but my key gripe is the pointless Americanization of every name and location ever mentioned in the series. And I'm talking POINTLESS. I could see them renaming SOME people to keep younger American audiences from getting lost in them, but places? They call it Tokyo in the commercials, then rename Mt. Fuji to Mt. FREDERICK?!? IS this really necessary, FUNimation? If you don't mind the pointless Americanization, the CN dub is fine. There is been a long time that I don't make a review on IMDb last time I saw that Detective Conan is top rated TV but now is not. You know that Detective Conan is one of my favorite Series of all time the story is excellent and the plot is amazing this story is about a teen detective named Shinichi Kudo who drugged and incidentally becoming a kid. Permalink The case is closed I love watching Case Closed every night so I can figure out some murders. Case Closed is a story of a teenage detective boy who turned into a kid by some poison from two bad mysterious guys who were meant to kill him. The teenager was named Jimmy Kudo. Jimmy also has a girlfriend who doesn't know that Jimmy is a kid. Jimmy has named himself as a kid Conan. This show is a great mysterious show. This show mostly has murder cases. It's always exciting to figure out a case of what happened. Suspects are the ones that make me confused. There was too many suspects that I couldn't solve the case myself. Permalink 9/10 Long-running show for a reason Warning Spoilers I've seen 50 episodes as of today and I finished them in two days and am still interested in finishing and catching up with new episodes despite having 900+ episodes. Every single episode is like a breath of fresh air with new and interesting cases. Not one case is repetative though they retelecasted few episodes by remastering them in animation and clarity, but they're very few in number and they serve as fillers. Comedy, suspense and emotions are in the right ratio. I normally decide if I can watch a show or not within a few episodes and many disappoint me, but this show isn't one of them. Even the cases from 1996 seem so new and only negative with this show is that spoilers ahead Ran still has no idea about Conan's real identity even after 24 years. This is my only problem, though she gets suspicious of him at places, no confirmation on it yet. So cutting a definitely a detective show which is worth a watch. 4 out of 4 found this helpful. I had heard about this anime, but I only started watching it a couple weeks ago when they started showing it on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. After only the first show, I was hooked on it, and I think it's for much the same reason as why Clue is my favorite movie. It's funny, and suspenseful well, at least the superb episodes are, and thought-provoking all at the same time, and it gives the viewer ample time to think through the case right along with first, I couldn't understand why they put it on Adult Swim instead of Toonami, but after watching some of the episodes, I saw the reason... even though it feels like a kids' show, a lot of the cases are murders, and they sometimes deal with heavy topics like losing a childIf you enjoy mysteries and even if you don't, this might get you into them P , I highly recommend watching this show. This is the only abime in the history of anime who's fillers are equally great as the main episodes and can't be missed!!! Its long yet everyone who starts watching goes on to finish it. Everyone who has watched it has loved it. All the episodes feature different cases, all impossible crimes and yet conan solves it. It also has few side characters who will make you fall in love with them. Along with the cases the anime also has two parallel stories which are the heart of the animeone is the black organisation and the other one is the tragic love story of sinichi and Ran. Permalink 10/10 great anime show-Case Closed or Detective Conan The story follows the adventures of Jimmy Kudo, a prodigious young detective who was inadvertently transformed into a child after being poisoned. I've been watching this series from the beginning and it is one of the best anime series directing and writing work is very content is oddly initiated cartoony visuals combined with the dark murder theme goes in contrast with each the original storyline exaggerates a bit,the individual plots and cases are brilliant. Its amazing to watch how Shinichi or Conan applys Sherlockian logic to solve cases. Anyone who is looking for adventure,good storyline, mind boggling cases and a bit of love story should just go for it. Permalink People are missing out This is one of the best show of all time based on one of the best manga of all time. Because is really hard to find translated piece of the manga, people who only speaks English are missing out on this masterpiece. I highly Recommend reading the manga first, I watched the show as a kid so it is really special to me, but looking back, the animation of the early episode was really a product of the 90s, the anime also have a lot of tv original episodes that acts as a filler, they are generally not very good. Permalink 7/10 Interesting plots but overly unrealistic most of the time Don't get me wrong i love the show and continued watching even after the English dub ended at episode 130. They are overly exaggerated and they assume that the common man has the intellect of a professional criminal. As for the main character, he is always suspicious of every single thing going on even if it would otherwise be irrelevant. For the sake of the story, he picks up clues from analyzing everyone even before anything even happens. As for the police, they listen to the kids and allow them near the dark and graphic crime scenes. He puts Detective Mouri to sleep so easily and nobody even notices conan missing or standing right next to have watched Detective School Q thrice and am going to watch it many more times again. Even though it was pitiful that it had to end at 45 episodes, I will just enjoy it forever. And detective Conan as of now is not keeping me as excited. 6 out of 10 found this helpful. They'll tell you how the teenage Shinichi Kudo a genius detective is given an experimental pill by some thugs and is transformed into a child again. He calls himself Conan Edogawa & wherever he goes, a crime happens & he solves the crime. He keeps his predicament to himself & an inventor friend of his. The inventor gives him Bond type gadgets that help him get by, since he's a child again. One of these gadgets, a bow-tie, changes his voice, so he can sound exactly like anyone. When he solves the crime, he knocks out an adult with a dart hidden in his watch, hides behind the sleeping adult, talks through his bow-tie to sound like the adult & tells everyone within earshot who the criminal I love anime & I love this show. But, this is maybe the silliest premise ever in an anime. And it's an utterly useless premise. Having Conan as a child serves no purpose in the show at all. He still acts like an adult & most of the time, he's just hanging out with his girlfriend who doesn't know Conan is her boyfriend & her father who is a detective & a very bad one at that. This little "kid" is allowed to walk around the crime scene usually a dead body like it's perfectly normal. He sometimes gives the clues he finds out loud. Most of the time, the adults take his advice, other times, they yell at him to shut up, even though he has given clues that have solved the crimes before hand. It just doesn't make any sense. If he's going to act like an adult, just make his character an adult. The side-story of the thugs who changed him is hardly if ever brought up again. But after 20 years, it is running into too many problems that it cannot the one hand, the cases the plots, the methods, the motives have become somewhat repetitive. In some cases, old cases are adapted in a new setting sometimes as part of the official tourist attraction program featuring places of interests outside of Tokyo. In this way, it lost the thrill it once had for young the other hand, the premise of the show is extended too far that it becomes, i too silly to be taken seriously, and ii too inflated to come to a satisfactory conclusion in a couple of shows one kid vs. an international criminal conglomerate?!.The first couple of years of the show are excellent the earliest shows are wonderfully dark and superbly scary and are rewatched again and again. But later shows I only watch sporadically. Watching Detective Conan or "Case Closed" for over than 15 years and still following their new episodes, I bit anyone to get bored from the variation of cases and stories are in this series. New cases new methods, and always entertained and excited to though sometimes I see it not appropriate for kids over 13 to watch due to exceed of violence, but it gives a lot of good morals, "one truth always prevails", the truth is committing crimes toward others -even if they are somehow guilty- won't bring JUSTICE, crimes make it worse. 2 out of 2 found this helpful. I've been watching it since I was a little kid, it grew on me. Surprisingly, the older i get, the more i fall in love with this show. I don't want it to ever end, simultaneously, I can't wait for the last episode to know how this show will end. It's been airing for more than a decade, and they're still making new episodes in japan, making it more poplar. That is a proof this show is a legend, not to mention the music and the awesome melody if ur looking for a perfect show that will make u thrilled like never before, get excited, & make u laugh at the same time, then that's it! There are few scenes that are intended to be funny, some other scenes are romantic, many are scary, mostly are mysterious, and how can it be any better? Oh yes, it's also inspirational. Permalink 10/10 Sherlock Holmes turned Anime Warning Spoilers Detective Conan is a long series based on a manga called, "Case Closed." The plot is about a teen that was shrunk again by a substance given to him by two mysterious crooks that caught him sneaking on the scene. This series is one amazing ride and if you love crime mysteries like BBC's Sherlock Holmes or CSI MAIMI you'll find this a riveting watch as you try to solve the mysteries before the main character does. It surprises you with its twists and turns and it makes you chuckle with its sarcastic humor.
